Imperfect Obsession ♥

Warning: This post may be a slightly less upbeat, but nonetheless an important part of my day & life.

8 years ago today, 

I was in my first year of high school.

8 years ago today, 

I had a softball game

8 years ago today, 

My best friend & I were standing on the softball field enjoying life.

8 years ago today, 

We watched her father fall to the ground.

8 years ago today,

My bests friend's dad had a heart attack & died.

I know this is sad, but this day always brings a little bit of sadness to my demeanor. 

This man was truly the most hilarious, and nicest man I had ever met.

On this day, I remember all of the funny things I have heard him say or do.

Like the time he pretended to be a limo driver in their purple Saturn for our first middle school formal!

Most of the day I find myself smiling from all the little things I remember.

What makes me sad, besides the obvious fact that he is not here anymore & it was the hardest thing my best friend had to go through- was that more people didn't have the chance to know him.

I can guarantee he'd make you laugh, because he still even has the ability to crack me up.

And I'm sure the view from heaven
Beats the hell out of mine here
And if we all believe in heaven,
Maybe we'll make it through one more year
Down here.
