What to Give a 71 Year Old Grandma for her Surprise Birthday!

Last weekend hubby and I took a nice little 4 hour road trip south for his grandmother's Surprise 71st birthday!!

It was a BEAUTIFUL day for traveling. 

A little chilly but gorgeous sun, so the ride wasn't too bad even at 31 weeks. 

Although hubby and his brother did get use to what its like to be a pregnant lady with having to stop about 5x to pee!!

A couple weeks before the party I had been stuck thinking about what to get for his grandmother. 

What do you get a 71 year old women who has everything!!

Well I decided we would go sentimental! 

We made her a tie blanket with "I love Grandma"

in the card we wrote that it was from baby Greyson :)

It was a great time. 

Slightly awkward as we had not seen hubs mom in over 2 years.

If you don't remember, she did not come to our wedding. 

But things went okay & it was fun :)

So having a birthday on New Year's Eve is not my favorite thing. 

One, its close to Christmas. 

I wish my holiday were more spread out.

Two, its in the winter & there were NOT a lot of options for birthday parties in the middle of a snow storm.

Three, most people now that were are older, have made their own plans. 

So I took it upon myself to pretend that everyone is out for new years celebrating me.

Hahah, quite delusional, I know. 

But this makes it fun!!

Belated Birthday Post

So considering that my birthday falls on a holiday, we are often off doing something holiday like instead of truly celebrating my birthday.

So my fiance and I often celebrate with just the two of us, a couple days later.

So a couple days later, my amazing fiance and I went out to a delicious Hibachi dinner.

I am obsessed with Hibachi, the food is so good, and the show is too fun!!

Then we went out to get some fun new stuff with the few gift cards I got for my brithday!!

Including:

I absolutley love them!!!

Now I just need a more fun place to wear them other than work!!

My Easter Weekend.

So after finally conquering my bags from the long weekend, I found my camera charger.

I don't go home very often due to my hectic schedule, so I decided I would take a couple extra days to go down this past weekend, and boy oh boy am I thankful.

The first night I spent with my mom, just relaxing, playing with my dogs new kitten.

[Yes, I said my dogs new kitten, super long story which I will post about later]

The second night, my fiance came down and we decided to color Easter Eggs because in all his life he has never colored eggs...

[You are probably thinking exactly what I was... WHATTT?]

He had a blast!

Most of the night we relaxed, watched movies and played Super Mario Brothers on the Wii

[which kitten later ate through the cord to]

The next day was my nieces birthday, so we headed over to her little birthday party for some fun!

Lastly,  I finally headed to Lush and got my first item ever!!

I would have bought the whole store, but I limited myself to one item for now!
