If you really knew me... / What he know's about me:

I saw this over on Stephanie's blog from BEAUtiful Mess 

and thought it was great for a Monday morning and some of the knew followers I have!

If you really knew me...

You would know that no one calls me by my real name, not even my mom or dad.  

You would know that I can only drink water with a ton of ice in it.  

You would know that I have never drank coffee

You would know that the summer before my freshman year in college I got 2nd degree sunburns at warped tour & that my eyes swelled shut.

You would know that in high school I had my lip pierced & it has never closed even though I took it out 4 years ago.

You would know that it takes me forever to fall asleep any night & I can't sleep well it its hot.

You would know that I bleach my teeth with hydrogen peroxide. 

You would know that I am constantly trying to get abs & dislike my stomach very much. 

You would know that I am slightly obsessed with working out. 

You would know that I played volleyball and softball throughout highschool & college and was so sad I had to stop once I got into graduate school. 

You would know that I am the youngest person at my work. 

You would know that my mother-in-law is not my biggest fan. 

You would know that I am a recovering nail biter and have to have nail polish on to not bit my nails.

You would know that I was also addicted to chapstick and when i stopped using it my lips literally broke out in hives and I had to take benadryl to cause it to go down. 

You would know that I would rather go to the dentist then get my hair cut. 

You would know that I use to hate wine & now I loooove it!!

You would know that blogging is one of my favorite things to do!

I also decided to ask my husband what are some of the things he knows about me and here is what he said
Which I got this cute idea from Joey at Hodge[s]podges.

 You always need a glass of ice water before you go to bed. 

You are obsessed with planners, but also get sick of them quickly and have to buy a new one. 

You are neurotic about organization and your closet is not only color coordinated but also coordinated my sleeve length. (hahah trueee it is)

You are horrible at surprises and have to look up endings to movies and books every time. 

(So true, I can't stand not knowing)

You get really anxious when you don't know the directions to where you are going. 

You are an amazing cook (haha thank you pinterest)

You like the house to be really clean all the time (hey you never know when company will come)

You bleach all your white clothes (He never used bleach before he met me)

You wake me up at night every time you have to use the bathroom (hahah I get scared)

You have a soft spot in your heart for old men and animals (he is talking really old, like old grandpas) 

You like your blog friends more than your real friends (haha sometimes this is so true)

11 Fun Facts:

1. When I was in elementary school my friend played connect the dots with a pen on my arm. I'm a red head, so my whole arm is freckles. Needless to say there was more pen then skin left exposed.

2. I failed math in 9th grade horribly, my teacher was super mean to me and told me I was pretty much never going to amount to anything. When I got to college I aced Statistics and Calculus and became a teaching assistant and a tutor.

TAKE THAT TEACHER!

3. I am fluent in sign language. I took 4 semesters of it in college! It has come in very handy, quite surprisingly.

4. Starting in 10th grade I became litteraly obsessed with lip gloss, then I had a crazy allergic reaction to lip gloss and started using chapstick, then I seriously became addicted to chapstick. I became anxious if I left it at home. I decided one day I would stop using it, and now only go in if for some reason I am despartley need it.

5. I have over 50 different nail polish colors and I use just about every one of them.

6. I never ran the mile in gym class in high school, or swam in gym class. I still got an A+ in gym. I refered to myself as a gym Allstar. I was a total dweeb!

7. I make the best faces when I've had a few drinks.

Hahaha!

8. Sometimes, my friends and I would pretend to be different things in college.

 

These crack me up!!!

9. I had my lip pierced when I was in high school, before it was cool for preppy girls to have them pierced. The hole never closes, so I can always put it back in!

10. I am currently in the process of professionally whitening my teeth for the wedding. Please let me tell you HOW painful this is. My teeth are not normally sensitive. I have no problems with crest white strips or anything. But ohmygoodness, this is so painful for an entire day after.

But whatever, I want white teeth like my wedding dress so beauty is pain!

11. I have a black thumb and by this I mean I can not for the life of me keep plants alive. I don't know what it is, but they all die on me!!

So not plant sitting for me!!

How long have you been blogging and what made you start your blog?

I started blogging in 2009 during my first year of graduate school. I started a new school where I didn't know anyone and was so stressed out with graduate school that I needed somewhere to vent about how stressed and how crazy my life was in grad school

What's your favorite way to spend a Saturday and/or day off from work?

Doing something with my friends or my fiance. I hate staying at home and I find that it hates me because I always get a headache when I do nothing. So anything whether it be going for a long run, going hiking, going snowboarding, shopping or anything. Anything other than being bored.

Do you wear makeup?

I do, I love make up, but most of the time I go quite minimally. Since I am a red head my eye lashes are no noticable without mascara, so if anything I always have mascara on.

If you could tell your 15-year-old self one thing about where you are now, what would it be?

That everything is exactly where I want it to be!!

What's your favorite easy-go-to meal?

Chilli- I am obsessed with chilli and can whip it up in like 15 minutes!

Are you a sports fan? What are your favorite sports teams?

Yep, but prefer sports much more in person and not on TV.

However, my teams are the Yankees, the Patriots, the Celtics, and the Montreal Canadiens.

Yes I realize they are all over the place haha!

Do you like to travel?

Love it, however I do not get to as much as I would like. Thankfully my family is spread out a bit, so at least I get to leave NY once in a while.

If you money were not an object and your boss said to you tomorrow, "Go take a week off and do something fun", where would you go and what would you do?

Fiji and literally do everything that there is to do in Fiji including nothing at all!

Do your family/friends know you have a blog? Do they read it?

A few really close friends and family do, but mostly keep my blog life to those who are most important to me and my bloggie friends!

What's your favorite fashion accessory?

My engagement ring!

Valentine's Day - yay or nay?

I dislike all the hype, but I love the concept and I have a super cute idea for valentines this year that I am going to hand out to the people I work with this year!!

So I am going to do a little intro/ get to know me post, because I'm fluffy like that!!

• My name is actually Amoree, pronounced Uh-more-ee.  Yes meaning Love in Italian. But you can call me Rorie, which is what I go by. Only my mom and dad call me Amoree. My mother is super Irish, hence my red hair and my father is super italian. So I am a wonderful mix of Italian and Irish!!

•  I am a New Yorker, born and raised and spent 18 years of my life living 20 minutes outside of NYC, but for the last 7 Years I have been away at school where I will be finally done with my master's degree in just a couple weeks!
• I am marrying the most amazing man I have ever met in just over 8 months. You may see me refer to him as fiance, hubby-to-be, B, or Beau. He is a super sweetheart who is obsessed with golf, gucci cologne, small puppies, and cargo shorts. He is also a super dork though and would totally pick spongebob over watching anything else anytime. 
• I obsessed with Yorkies and have the cutest puppy ever.
• I have been planning my wedding for 8 months now, and my fiance and I are having a blast planning!!! {See the tabs above to see our engagement pictures and wedding countdown}We have even decided to start a scrap book for all of our adventures!! I write Wedding Wednesday posts about every other Wednesdays about planning and cute things that I find!! Come by next Wednesday to see my bridesmaid dress picks and rehearsal dinner dress!!
• I am super short only 5'2" and 95% of the time I wear wedges and some type of other heels.
• Daisies are my all time favorite flower.
• I try not to swear and say things like awh ship instead. I feel like I was meant to live in the 50's and don't think its lady like for me. But I don't judge others.
• I am a work out junkie. I feel super lazy when I don't work out, however due to 85 hour work weeks I haven't been able to do much of that. I ran my first half marathon last year and will be back to blogging about my work outs as soon as I graduate!! On average, I run about 20 miles a week. Check out my work out widgets on my side bar to see what I've been up too!!
• I love make up and fashion but am not willing to spend obscene amounts of money on material possessions. I think that money can go to something much more important than designer shoes and brand name makeup. 
• Beau & I are huge movie watchers and go to watch about every movie ever. I am obsessed with Beetlejuice, Harry Potter and Chick flicks. As well as Resident Evil and Lord of the Rings #dontjudgeme.
• I am a huge reader and am obsessed with books. I am super bummed about borders closing down and may or may not have spend about 150 dollars on books. See my book list in my tabs above for reviews. 
• Blogging is my way to vent, my way to share my thoughts and my way to connect with fabulous people all over the world!! I have been blogging for over the year and it has been one of the most amazing things I have ever experienced!! I'm currently reading Something Borrowed!!
• I have 4 tattoos and had my lip pierced in high school. I kind went through this I want to be a girly emo punk phase in highschool, while being the captain of my volleyball team and lacrosse team and president of the debate club. #hugedork
• I put hashtags in my blogs. Sorry I just started tweeting not that long ago and am new at it. Check out my twitter!! 
• I have had my kids names picked out since I was about 15. However, Beau and I aren't planning on having kids until a couple years after we're married.
• I can't see far away at all, but hate wearing my glasses, and don't like contacts. #notsosmart
• I pick my split ends way too much and have donated over 2 feet of my hair!
• I believe that love, recycling and peace are the most important things in life. I thinking people need to slow down and enjoy the simple things. I think people should say no to needing a bag in a store and buy water bottles to cut down on plastic. I believe that smiling and laughter is the best medicine. I think pink makes people feel better and I believe that I can help change the world one person at a time.

I write about my life, my fears, my stresses and my loves. 

I write what I know and I know what I write. 

I love all of my blog friends, comments and try to comment back on as many as I can!!

An Apple A Day

So I woke up yesterday feeling extremely under the weather.

Especially considering it was beautiful out

feeling sick was ridiculously horrible.

So after buying a pack of cough drops

I had to work all day long, when it was gorgeous out and feeling sick.

Basically I od'ed on cough drops.

I guess I need to start eating more apples.

Thankfully today I am feeling a tad better.

However, I could go for a bath in this right now

How fun is that!!

Random Facts About Me!

Donna Dell did a little getting to know her post & inspired me to do a little one about myself!!

So here goes:

1. I have never died my hair before. I am a proud red head [although my hair is on the far lighter side of red, i'd say strawberry blonde] but its all natural!!
2. I burn candles all the time.
3. I wear retainers to bed every other night.
4. I have about 30 different types of mascara.
5. I honestly believe that at one point in my life I was addicted to chapstick and refused to use it for a while, although am falling back into using it again and need to stop!
6. I love ice cold water.
7. I have donated over 9 inches of my hair twice!
8. I love love love volleyball.
9. I am a self diagnosed shopaholic.
10. I am super organized & obsessed with planners.
11. I am a neat freak, although due to grad school have had a messy room lately.
12. I love Harry Potter & can not wait til November 19th [the 7th movie]
13. I have glasses and need to wear them more often.
14. I switch shampoos & conditioners every other day.
15. I love the snow, hot cocoa, Christmas music & everything that has to do with Christmas!
16. I have a beta fish named Calvin Coolidge
17. I only need 18 more credits until I am done with school for a very long time!
18. I have never shopped at Lush & can not wait to do so!
19. I want to do another giveaway soon=] 
20. I recently quit biting my nails after about 22 years of biting them, & do well most of the time although they are still quite weak and break a lot!
