Sorry I have been less communicative then usual, it is nothing that will become a habit, I just have the joy of working in retail & therefore have had two 45 hour weeks on top of traveling for the holidays!!

Merry Christmas!!!

Yay, Finally Christmas is here & sadly almost over but what an amazing day. 

After working all morning on Christmas Eve, I packed up my car & headed the 3ish hours home. 

Luckily, I made it just in time to open presents with my family. We usually only open one present on Christmas Eve but my brother was having Christmas at his house with his daughter and my little brother was heading to his moms for Christmas, so we had Christmas from the family on Christmas Eve, and Santa brought my little brother presents on Christmas morning.

Friendly Holiday Weekend!!

Finally time to celebrate!!!
Finally, I finished my semester of strong on Thursday evening after a nice pot luck dinner where I found out I got an A on everything in the class!!
So far for grades I have 3/5 classed up and they are A's. 
Hoping for two more!!!

So since the semester ended, after working 8am to 1:30 and then babysitting from 2 to 3:30, my fiance and I packed up and headed home for the weekend for our busy holiday fun.

 

So it takes a quite about 3 hours to get from school to NYC, so we quickly drove to a hotel party where I was meeting a my best friends<3
 We had such a good time, and here are some pictures from the event!!

The next night was a holiday party at my friends house where we exhanged gifts!!

Wedding Wednesday # 4

So not too much to report this time, but a few more things have happened.

I am finished with my 3rd semester for graduate school and can not wait to be done for good.

Finals were kills, and sleep was scarce, but after sleeping 11 hours last night, I am ready to go.

I called 2 churches today and left messages trying to set up times to meet this weekend.

Hopefully they will call me back soon.

This weekend we are also getting our engagement pictures taken. 

I can not wait to see how they turn out<3

This weekend we are also going to be registering for some wedding/bridal gifts!

I am not exactly sure who were gonna register through yet, but the whole experience should be a ton of fun.

Hair Extension Help!!!

Help, 

As most of you know. I donated about 10 inches of my hair a couple of months ago and am slowly waiting for it to grow out!! 

Well, fiance and I are getting are engagment pictures done this weekend and I would like to have long hair in them. 

To have this, I purchased hair extensions. 

So they are a little bit lighter than my hair because strawberry blonde is apparently a hair color that people do not like extensions for. 

I am having my friend dye it soon though so bare with me. 

However, my issue is I can not for the life of me get the extensions to blend when they are straight....

See, curly looks fabulous and you can't even notice the color difference, but when straught they do not blend at all.

Does anyone know what to do?

I am following the directions exactly...

Busy Little Bee!!

Sorry bloggies,

No Wedding Wednesdays today. 

I am too busy finishing my final papers and finals, that I have limited time to focus on getting anything done with our wedding!

But things will be back and running soon, probably Wednesday after next!! 

However, just to let ya'll know. Only 500 days until our Wedding!!

Today I am completely exhausted.

I can hardly move my arms.

I cleaned a women I babysit fors house.

Her husband is gone for military training for 3 months so I am helping her around the house and with the kids when she needs it.

So I woke up bright & early and cleaned form 7 to 12:30, then rushed to my new job and worked 1 to 4:45 and then had class form 5 to 7....

Ugh... 

Did I mention, I didn't even have time to eat in there!!

Phew.

I am wiped out now and am going to enjoy the sing off and bed.

& now, although I am not a big fan of Ms. Spears, I was pleasantly surprised by this perfume.

I also finished the 5th and final Percy Jackson Book, which is Percy Jackson and the Last Olympian.
The entire series is just a really good book if your into fantasy, Greek mythology and just a really fun easy read!!
This last book appears to be the longest book, and took me a little while to get through due to school but beside the first book, I think it was my favorite!

Wedding Wednesday # 3

Not too much to report on the wedding section.

Due to the end of the semester and a lot of upcoming papers and finals, I have had to slow down a bit, but will be continuing again once the semester is over!!

I haven't even had time to work out much ugh!

I have been calling quite a few churches but am having difficulty finding churches near my hometown because I have lived at school for so many years..

I am also afraid that the fact that my fiance and I live together may cause issues..

Hmmm.... 

Tomorrow I will be speaking with the 3rd church I've contacted, so hopefully that goes well!!!

THERE IS A MOUSE IN MY CAR!!

That is right, that is not a typo. 

Today I found little mice poops in my car.

Operation humanely rid the mouse from my car is now in effect!!

Papers, Papers and More Papers and an Award

2 weeks 6 days and counting!

That's all I have left for school this semester.

Not like I will have much of a winter break considering, I intend on getting two jobs, if I can ever find one studying for the NCE, which is the National Counselor Examination. 
However, I have 3 papers, one which I am working on right now. I am currently on 18 pages and trying to reduce it to 15 and still have another paragraph left. It just a re-edit of the paper we had to write last semester, and you just tweak it to add the experiences you've had from this semester as well.  It started out at 22, so I am making some progress. 
I also have 2 tests left, one take home and one open book in class.

I think I can, I think I can...

So I am having an awfully difficult time trying to find a part time job for the holiday season/next semester. I will be entering into full time internship and will need a job, because the job I currently have is during the day..

Hmph. 

I have quite a lot of retail experience, but it seems that no one is hiring near me!

Just keep trying!!

7 Facts About Myself:

1) I light candles all the time!! I love to have candles burning and my apartment to smell delicious. The Slatkin & Co. ones form Bath and Body Works are my favorite.

2) I have never shopped at Lush, but intend on it soon. I had never heard of Lush before I became a blogger, and will be heading back home twoard NYC soon to shop there. I don't have a tub right now in my apartment, but as soon as I move I will be buying multiple bath bombs!!

3) I want to get an iphone quite badly. I have a blackberry and I am coming to hate it. It freezes all the time, and although I love BBM, I can't stand how slow it is!!

4) I have yet to find a Wine I like. I want to like wine so badly because it looks delicious, but I just find them awful! [Any good suggestions?]

5) I am going to a fancy gala soon & going to be wearing a long beautiful black and grey dress and can not wait get all done up!! [Pictures will be posted!!]

6) I use to have my lip pierced from 18 to 20- I took it out but the hole never closes!

7) I have a severe addiction to strawberry milk, root beer floats, slim jims, and balsamic vinegar!

Black Friday

I have worked in retail for the past 7 years,

So I have never been able to be on the shopping side of the black Friday festivities.

So last night my fiance's brother and I decided to venture out later on Thanksgiving evening to "camp out" at Best Buy to get two televisions. 

So we arrived at Best Buy at 11pm and came to find that about 15-20 people were there before us. That was fine and thought we were in pretty good shape. [The people who were there first, arrived at 4pm on Thanksgiving... uhm whhhat]

So we waited for 6 hours in the FREEZING cold, ice rain, mix. I was miserable. I am pretty sure my hands had frost bite. 

Needless to say, I will never camp-out at best buy again!!

However, being there early paid off, because Fiance's brother & I both got the tv's we were out to get. 

Fiance and I now have a beautiful 46" Samsung LED Tv, for almost 700 off!!!

We also ventured off to Target where I got 4 dvd's for 1.00 & 3.99. 

Picked up some good laughs, such as Talledagea Nights, Elf, 27 Dresses and The Dark Knight

Then finally, I picked up two Pajama Sets for my niece and youngest brother & a 99 dollar dinosaur called Cruncher, which is just ridiculous to cost so much.

Then, I stopped at Old Navy and got an amzing deal on a wool peacoat, due to sales and coupons!!

Overall, it was a decent first Black Friday trip, but I will never go out before stores open again!!!

Wedding Wednesday # 2

Ahhh, so Wedding Wednesday # 2.
My fiance and I have been engaged for 15 days and it is complete bliss!!

I have been getting so many compliments on my ring and have been congratulated 800 times and my fiance and I are having a blast planning everything.

As for my list of things to do:

Find a reception hall:

Done, picked one out that is perfect for us and the size of our wedding. We are going to look at it once more on Friday and then we are paying the deposit.

Finalize a date: 

We changed our date to April 21st due to it being off season and much cheaper, but also the weather where we hope to honeymoon is also suppose to be much nicer!!

Find a Church:

Pending.  I have 3 possible options and have called one who is sending me information on the wedding requirements, but there is concern with the pastor retiring. I called and left a message at the 2nd one and hope to hear back form them soon, and will be in contact with the third one next week. 

Find a hairstylist/makeup artist:

Luckily my best friend is the most amazing hair stylist and makeup artist ever and told me she would love to do my hair and makeup for free.

Find a Photographer:

 Another friend of mine has her own photography business and shoots amazing photos!! I have asked her to do my wedding and she stated she would for FREE!!! So excited. She will be taking my engagement photos around December 20th & I will post them for everyone to see. 

Find a dress:

AHHH found it!! I went to two dress shops, and found the dress of my dreams!! I am going to go once more to the shop to try it on again, walk around, sit in it twirl and do everything to make sure its the one before I actually buy it but it is beautiful!!!

Find a DJ: 

My fiance and I decided to go with a DJ because its a bit cheaper but also because our reception venue can accomodate a DJ much better than a band!! I am in the process of looking for possible DJ's but have been in contact with one who I seem to like. 

Pick a color scheme:

I have always wanted a sort of black and white wedding because I think it is just beautiful, but I also wanted to incorporate a splash of color. So my bridesmaids will be wearing black but our flowers, my shoes, my nails, and some other decorations will be dark pink!!  

Picking invitations:

My friends mom is amazing at stamping and making invitations and thing like that, so I believe I will be requesting her services to have her help create our invitations.  

Picking a cake:

Luckily our reception venue includes the cake but we still have to pick the flavor and the look to it. I have multiple ideas in mind and pictures but have to figure out what I like the best!!

First Dance & Father-Daughter Dance:

Picking the honeymoon:

We have potential honeymoon ideas, but nothing finalized.  

Wedding Workouts:

So I have started working out again, which I have not been doing as much since I ran my 1/2 marathon, but yes I have started running again to get in shape and have been calling them my wedding workouts!!!

Engagement Party:

We have picked out our engagement party date which will be January 8th & I have sent out the DIY invitations!!

We are just have a small dinner party for our closest friends who will be in the wedding!! 

I am super excited and got a beautiful dress from ModCloth that I can not wait to wear.

So I think that's it as of right now!!

Only 1 year 4 months and 4 weeks from today!!

Easy Week!!

Lovely Thanksgiving Break is leaving me with quite an easy week.

No homework assignments, no client. Just 2 classes and 1 day of internship!!!

Tonight I have a fancy dinner party with my Fiance's family & am excited to get some good food in me!!

I love love love Christmas. 

Thankfully none of my family reads this so I can post a little shopping review!!

So I love the Slatkin & Co Candles that Bath & Body works sells!!

& Luckily, I have these super coupons to get half off of them!!

The scents are amazing & they last forever!!

I also bought my Fiance the new 32g Ipod Touch!!

However, he got his Christmas present early because he had been wanting it so bad for forever!!!

I am bad at keeping gits secret!!

Wedding Wednesdays

How He Proposed:

So, my fiance is not a very romantic guy. He is the more laid back type, nothing over the top & this is why I love him because I am the complete opposite and we get along quite well that day.

So anyways, perhaps some of  you know that Call of Duty Black Ops came out at Midnight on Novemeber 9th. ,  , so after an entire night of drinking redbulls, and eating junk food while playing video games, he came home. I at the time was getting ready in my bathroom, I believe I was at the time straightening my hair. So i heard the door open to our apartment, but usually he comes straight into our room, so when he didn't I assumed it was our other roommate.  So i continued getting ready, and when i came out the last time he was in our room & I asked him what was up and he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him!!!

My response: I are effing kidding me and cried while saying yes!!

It was perfect & I will never forget it ever!!

My ring is a princess cut exactly what I wanted.

Break Break Break Break!!!

As I have heard other bloggers divulge, 

the student of the blogging community seem to be getting down to the wired.

I myself, am getting worn out, having written about 15 papers, and prepared and given 4 presentations, I am ready for a nice long break.

Well yay!!

Thanksgiving break is only 8 days away!!

And the end of the semester is only 31 days away.

Only about 3 papers, 2 tests, and 2 counseling sessions left to go!!!

On another very happy note, 

Harry Potter 7 Part 1 comes out Thursday at Midnight & I will absolutley be there like an hour before getting my tickets and waiting in line!!

Random Facts About Me!

Donna Dell did a little getting to know her post & inspired me to do a little one about myself!!

So here goes:

1. I have never died my hair before. I am a proud red head [although my hair is on the far lighter side of red, i'd say strawberry blonde] but its all natural!!
2. I burn candles all the time.
3. I wear retainers to bed every other night.
4. I have about 30 different types of mascara.
5. I honestly believe that at one point in my life I was addicted to chapstick and refused to use it for a while, although am falling back into using it again and need to stop!
6. I love ice cold water.
7. I have donated over 9 inches of my hair twice!
8. I love love love volleyball.
9. I am a self diagnosed shopaholic.
10. I am super organized & obsessed with planners.
11. I am a neat freak, although due to grad school have had a messy room lately.
12. I love Harry Potter & can not wait til November 19th [the 7th movie]
13. I have glasses and need to wear them more often.
14. I switch shampoos & conditioners every other day.
15. I love the snow, hot cocoa, Christmas music & everything that has to do with Christmas!
16. I have a beta fish named Calvin Coolidge
17. I only need 18 more credits until I am done with school for a very long time!

20. I recently quit biting my nails after about 22 years of biting them, & do well most of the time although they are still quite weak and break a lot!

Productive Weekend =]

I have had quite the productive weekend!!

Got the majority of my homework done, worked, picked up bf's new car, finally ran a couple miles & cleaned the entire apartment!!
I'll post some new pretty pictures of bf's car soon!!!

Tonight bf & I are going to see Due Date which is suppose to be quite funny & I can not wait!!
Also does anyone else love Katy Perry's new songs as much as me!?

Weekend

Thank you for all your helpful comments & I told bf to go with the ring I love from the small store!!

I am also going to take out a small insurance on it to have it covered if anything happens!!

 Today, Bf, his twin and I will be traveling quite a bit away to pick up his new car.

We are very excited.

It was actually suppose to be here Monday and they had to hold it because the factory didn't put in the extras that bf ordered. 

Being the talkative and opinionated person that I am, I asked for a number to call and complain, they told me not to.

Now I am frustrated and will complaining to the manager of the store when we get there. 

Paying a huge amount of money for a car, the thing should be done correctly right?!
