2 Awards, Books and a Running Update!!!!

Yayyy, yep you read correctly,
That is 2 blog awards that I will be discussing today!!!
My first award comes from Katie at Jersey Blonde,
Katie is amazing & a huge inspiration so you should all stop by and check out her page if you haven't already!!
Katie gave me the:
With awards come rules and in this case they are quite simple:
Describe where I think I'll be in 10 years.

Ohhh in 10 years I will be 33. Scary to think about!!! I will hopefully be Married to an amazing man with 3 beautiful babies. I would love to have twins of the same gender & then another in the opposite gender. I am not picky about which gender is the twins or not! I also will have finished my Masters & will hopefully be working at some sort of inpatient mental health unit in a hospital or perhaps a rehab center. I would also like to be looking into getting my PH.D in 10 years & start taking some doctoral classes, one night class at a time. I have no idea where I would like to live. Probably a rurally area right outside of NYC so i can of course indulge in the city's fabulous shopping!!
I think that is about it!!!

I am going to pass this on to Jamie at Life As I Know It!

My 2nd award comes from Melissa at My Life- More Than Just A Paragraph.
Melissa is another amazing blogger, who blogs about amazing topics that are always fun to read!!!
Melissa gave me the:
This has the same rules as above so I am not going to repeat myself but thanks girl!!!
I am going to give this award to V. at the V. Chronicles!

Congratulations Ladies!!!

So I finished Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol.
This was a good book. Not my favorite of Dan Brown's where Angels & Demons is my favorite but it was not bad overall. The book took me a little while to get interested in but about half way through it really started picking up & had some really unexpected turns & kept my attention throughout the last half. The book also had some confusing parts because I am not familiar with really of the terminology that the author was using but I actually found my self learning a lot about the topic!!
I do recommend this book because well I will always recommend every book because I pretty much love them all, however, this is not a easy read, but interesting nonetheless!!!

Today I also saw Grown Ups!!!
Please let me express to you how I am already a HUGE Happy Madison fan & had high expectations for this movie!!
& man were my expectations not let down!!
I laughed hard in this movie.
It was a bit sad at first, but overall I was cracking up & highly suggest you go see it!!

Finally,
I got a fabulous 3 mile run in today!!! It was great!! My friend ran with me for the first mile and stepped up her game to a 9.55 minute mile!!
I was SOOO proud of her!!

Camp is continuing & I am on to reading the Perks of Being a Wallflower & One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest!!

xoxo!

Quick Update

Fun, Fun, Fun,
So far camp is starting off amazing!!!
The first week is always kind of hectic so sorry for this quick short post.
I have been getting a lot of good reading done at night which is awesome because I use summer as a break from school where I only get to read textbooks 24/7.
I will be finished with Dan Brown's The Lost Symbol soon & will provide an update with that.
I also think I will be heading to the library to pick up a new book after this one.
I fly threw books in the summer & take a lot longer to read books during the school year so I think I will save the books I own for school.
Any Suggestions of Good Library Books?
Running is also going well today is my day off & as long as the weather is good tomorrow, I am hoping to make a nice 2.5 to 3 mile run.
I am assuming some other camp counselors will want to go with me so it will depend.

Outfit of the Day/ Running Update and 2 Book Reviers

So tomorrow is the day
the day that the campers start piling into camp & the serious fun begins.
Today we had the day off to recouperate from a long couple of weeks of training!!
It was very much needed.
 Outfit of the Day:
I don't have a full length mirror here at camp but I took a picture of this outfit a few months ago back at school & wore it again today because it was a bit chilly down by the lake front where some camp leaders & I had an amazing lunch on the water!!
 Running Update:
Today I went for a nice 2 mile run.
I am seriously motivating all of my camp leaders to get into shape and it is awesome. So far I have taken 3 new people on runs with me who never really work out!!
The only downside to this is that I have to slow my pace quiteeee a bit but in the end, I think the fact that I am motivating pepole to get healthy is more important than a running pace!!

Book Reviews:
So I finished reading Lauren Conrad's LA Candy.
This is a very easy read.
Not a lot of thinking involved at all, but a very good beach or lay out in the sun book.
The books is sort of similar to her experiences with reality tv yet fictional about 2 best friends & their experiences being involved in a new reality tv show called LA. Candy.
I recommend this book to anyone looking for a nice easy read!

I also finished the 3rd book in the Percy Jackson Series.
This is an even easier book to read & I finished this within 3 days!!
I really enjoy these books because they are simple yet very interesting & I find myself wanting to learn more about Greek Mythology.
This book is about Percy Jackson & several of his friends attempt to save Mount Olympus from another attack.
I will be reading the 4th book as soon as my boyfriend finishes it!

I also went shopping at Hollister today and got an adorable gray/brownish tube top & a pair of light kackys for only 15 bucks!!
I love sales!!
xoxo!

Exhaustedddd!!

As I mentioned previously,
I was quite busy this past week.
Camp training is really fun and our staff of 20 is just hilarious!!
So far I have done a High Ropes Course, Made numerous funny short skits, practiced for a talent show, & went kayaking in a lake!!

Woo. Exhausting.
Tomorrow, some of my staff members and I will be going to 6 Flags in New Jersey & I can not wait!!!
I have not been to an amusement park in well over 5 years!!!
I am excited about being able to add another book to my book list soon, I will be finished with L.A. Candy by Lauren Conrad probably this evening!!!
I am also soo excited to see Grown Ups & Toy Story 3!!!
Just need some more time off!!!

xoxo.

I Failed Miserablyyy!!

As my title states:
I failed miserably
but it is more like beyond miserably.

I went into victorias secret with the best intentions. I only wanted to pick up a few things that I didn't get the time before but new I would probably be needing soon.
...Well a few things turned into a lot of things.

But now I am serious.
Save Save Save.
I purchased the Beauty Rush Coconut Craze Hypergloss Shampoo and Conditioner.

This just smelt so amazing & summery that I had to try it!!
I will let you all know how it works ones I use it!

I also  bought a small bottle of Amber Romance
I love this smell!!
The combination of Black Cherry, Creme Anglaise and Sandalwood is just perfect!!
I bought a small bottle because I was unsure of how I would like it and I will def. be getting more once I finish this bottle!!

I also decided that I was well overdue for a hair cut.
I am growing my hair out for Locks of Love, or Wigs for Kids.
I am not sure which yet.
Does anyone have any experience with either of these organizations?

I just got about 2 inches off the bottom & had them cut & shape my bangs a bit.
This will be the 2nd time I have donated my hair.
Last time was in 2007 & I learned my lesson & will be growing my hair out quiiite long, like almost to my but before I donate it.

xoxo!

Avoiding Temptations

So I believe it is quite clear that I love to spend money..
Clothes, makeup, shoes, apartment decorations, I pretty much love it all.
Well as I am almost finished with school, I have decided that I need to stop with all the unnecessary spending.
I have a lot of shoes, probably like 40+
and Probably around 15+ pairs of jeans
Not even to mention dresses, skirts and shorts.

So today being the absolutley fabulous payday that it is!
[Pay day is my favorite day! ]
I am trying to resist the urge to go back to the Victoria Secret Semi Annual Sale...
I am not sure how well this will work, I may go and pick up a few essentials, I mean their bras seriously last forever.
However, if I go. I will be SURE to avoid, all make up, perfume, lotions and anything else that I do not need!!!
I am going work hard at being better with my money!
Plus I need to work hard to save up for textbooks.. ugh!

Summer Camp training start tomorrow & I am excited to see all the staff.
I also however, get to take a quick break of training tomorrow and head to the doctors for a quick check up!

Hoping to get in a nice 4 mile run today as long as the rain holds off!!

xoxo.

Summmer Campppp & Question to my lovely readers

Summmer Summer Summer time.

So I officially know its summer time when summer camp training begins.
I have worked at this summer camp for 4 consecutive years now and seriously am in love with it.
I can not imagine my summer with out it!
So this next week and a half I will be fairly busy, unpacking into where I am staying & training.
We are all CPR certified, trained in the campers itinerary and things like this, plus our staff does a lot of bonding and fun things as well!!

Luckily I can use my blackberry as a modem so I will have regular internet access which is good because I still have to be able to work for my other job which is to enter data into this wonderful database, crunch and analyze!!

Had an amazing ruuun today!!
Reduced my 4 mile to 38:58
I Felt fabulous!

Here is a question to my lovely readers:
As boyfriend & I were unpacking my things left over from school & repacking them getting ready for summer camp. He somewhat hinted that I have way too many shoes and articles of clothing.
I really do not think I have that many and I am curious to know
how many pairs of shoes & jeans do you all own?

Maybe if he sees that I am not the only one who likes to have more than 3 outfits to wear he will see that I am not abnormal!!

Thankkks<3
xoxo.
Morie.

DMB & New Blog Page!

DMB:
So just got back in from DMB & let me tell you how amazing this concert was!!! Wow!!! I hadn't been to DMB in a long time, but they still put on an amazing show. The drummer is ridiculous. The weather was not really good so I didn't bother sneaking my camera in but I had such a good time. I even one a little DMB Nalgene bottle!!
Looks just like this except it says Dave Matthews Band 2010 on it!!

Book List:
I also added a new book list page on the left side of my page. Inspiration by Christy at 25before25, Since i have been reading sooo much since its summer, I thought I would make a list of books I have read and if I discuss them I will link that back to that particular post!!

2 particular books that I have read just on this trip are:
Percy Jackson & The Lightning Thief & The Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan.
Now this is not my typical style of book.
However, bf loves anything Greek, for me to better understand his interests I thought I would give it a shot!
To my surpirse the books were not bad.
They were super easy to read and not much intelligence is needed to understand anything, but it was a nice little beach and car ride read & gave my bf and I some good laughs and conversation starters.
Plus it has some pretty interesting info. on Greek Gods if you are into that kind of thing!!
So overall, not bad. Better for teens, but still a good read overall.

xoxo.

Mass has been amazing. It was beautiful out the day we went to the beach & we took the top off the convertable and enjoyed the sun!!
So fun!!

A little something new on Sunday from MannLands.
1. If you could have one of Superman's, powers which one would you want? Superhuman strength..Flight..Superhuman speed..X-Ray vision..etc

Ohhh... probably flight. It would be super awesome if I could just fly any where I wanted. Think about the amount of money I would save on gas or air fare!! Plus, this about how hot it would be to fly.

2. The best thing I ever won is....?

Hmm.. I haven't won a lot, I won the highest honor award during my undergraduate degree and that was amazing. I also won 50 dollars once on a a 1$ scratch off and that was fuuunn as well!!

3. Have you ever skyped with a bloggy friend?

Nooo booo.

4. What is your favorite Summer month?

Hmm, July? Or maybe August. I like the really hot months!!
5. Pool, Lake, or Ocean?

Ohhh All three please but probably the ocean, most preferrably.

6. One of my favorite Summer memories is.....?

Summer before my first year of college. Me and my 4 best friends had the most fun I can ever remember. We lived up that summer to the fullest!!
7. What's your favorite secret bargain?

Hmm. Idk if any of my bargains are secret.. But I love really cheap online buys from abercrobie. Last year I got like 3 skirts for like 25 bucks, would have cost me over a hundred.

8. Do you plan on or have you been watching the World Cup?
No but bf has non stop been talking about it, so I probably will watch it eventually.
xoxo.

Long Weekend Hiatus!!

I am currently crossing my fingers for
nice weather!!!
As of right now. The weather forecast is telling me that Friday and Saturday will both be warm and Sunny Days!!!
And I am so very much hoping that it stays this way!!!

I am running around right now trying to get everything together and to pack.
I always wait until the last minute to get things done!!
My pounding headache is also not helping but that is what I get for not drinking enough water yesterday after my run!

So tomorrow is a short work day just 9am to 12pm & then bf & I are headed off on the road.
I love road trips with him.
He makes them so much fun.
We stacked the car with drinks and snacks & always play a ton of road games!
Do you have any certain road games you play?

I am also thinking about stopping off at a book store today to pick up some books. One of my professors suggested Viktor Frankl's Man's Search For Meaning, so I was thinking about taking his suggestion & looking for it. It is cheaply listed online.

Well better get back to packing =]
Have a great weekend everyone!!
xoxo!

So a small hurdle in the road...
So I have two laptops, one super old one that I got when I graduated from highschool & a new one when I graduated from my undergraduate degree.
I use my new one for school work & I used my old one for my work which is basically just inputting data & it was also easier to lug around. Well as its almost 6 years old, it started getting small blue lines down the screen. After looking into this I found that this means that my screen was pretty much going. Well while looking up this info my work computer got a stupid virus. I decided that this was the last straw so I decided to buy a new work netbook.

I love it!!  It is so cute.
It is small obviously, but it is only my work computer which is really just data input, so I should be good!
Other than that- I had an amazing run the other night where I took like 3 minutes off my 5 mile!!
Fabulous!!
Then next Monday, some friends and I are taking a little trip to MA to go see Dave Matthews Band!!!
Should be an amazing time!!!

xoxo.
