500 Miles

I could not believe my ears.
As I plugged my ipod touch into my computer today, a message popped on my screen from my Nike +
It stated that I had just reached over 500 miles ran (506 to be exact), from when I first started running in June of 2009!!
Looking at my running history, I ran my most miles in May of 2010, where it reports that I ran 58.87 miles. Now this is also quite off. I know this because when I ran my half marathon in September 2010, my ipod said I only ran 12. 4 when I obviously ran 13. 1!!

So I am probably somewhere up in the 550. But over 500 is amazing regardless of how far!!
I am quite proud of myself!!
Hopefully I can look like this within 83 days!!

Not likely, but hey a girl can wish!!
Any ways work outs this week!!

Reasons To Be Fit: Weekly Workouts

I get a lot of comments from my other lovely bloggers stating to come how give them motivations for their workouts or to get them to the gym.
Well these are my motivators, so hopefully they can motivate you all!!

Monday:
Double work out this past Monday.
Miles: 3:23 & 3.10
Time: 30 minutes for both
Pace: 9.17 & 9.40/ mile
Both really good runs. Was going to take it easy for the second time I went to the gym but decided after the first mile that I was just going to go big or go home. Felt pretty good during both runs though. No cramps, no pains. Would have kept going if it wasn't for people signed up for me after me.
First round did a nice arm work out, second time to the gym did some crunches left feeling pretty sore and loving it!!

Tuesday:
Miles: 3.17
Time: 30 minutes
Pace: 9:27/ a mile
Made the stupid mistake of wearing pants to the gym. I was like dying of heat exhaustion! It was awful, so I can imaging that if I had shorts on the run would have gone a bit better. The beginning started off really well though.
Worked out some legs after this.

Wednesday:
Miles: 3.34
Time: 30 minutes
Pace: 8:58/ a mile
Wooo!! Sub 9!! Hardly made it under 9 but made it none the less!! Learned my lesson with the pants so wore shorts and really felt pretty good the entire time. The last 5 minutes were a little hard breathing which is a first for me. Not really sure what was going on with that.
Did a nice arm/back workout after that.

Total Miles: 12.84
Was hoping to work out just as much but unfortunately I have a dentist appointment right after work tomorrow. Hoping to get in 3 times if I can get myself to wake up at 5:30 am to get my butt to the gym!1

Monday Rundays

Well I accidently took off from working out for a week in a half from Thanksgiving.
My bad.
I really like these to be fit picture.
They motivate me quite a bit & I hope they are hoping some of you find some motivation as well!!

Wasn't able to get to the gym too often this past week & since it was raining or snowing so I wasn't able to get out side much for further runs.

Tuesday:
Miles: 3.15
Times: 30 minutes
Pace: 9:31/mile
I am not very good at running long distances on treadmills. I find them very boring and I get eager to get off. However, I am trying to increase my speed since some of my runs with my running partner were on the slower side. So I decided to try and run 30 minutes for each time that I run to be able to get down to a faster and further time with each run. Wasn't a bad run at all. I felt pretty decent the whole way, no pains, nothing. Good overall.

Wednesday:
Miles: 2.18
Time: 20 minutes
Pace: 9:15/mile
Ugh, when I got to the gym all of the treadmills were filled and I had to do 10 minutes on a step machine before I was able to get on a treadmill. Well I only had an hour at the gym so I had to cut it down to 20 minutes because I am trying to incorporate weights into my gym nights to tone up the other parts of my body as well. My friend was running next to me and I was trying to increase my speed to catch up to her where she started 10 minutes before me. Almost had it to!!!

Total Miles: 5.32
Hopefully this next week I will be able to get to the gym at least 3-4 times if not be able to run outside at least once or twice. I have also been trying to do a lot of planks since my abs are my target area. Ugh.
Also, I am on 1 weeks without soda!!
But hey 5.32 miles is better than no miles that is for sure!!

Late Monday Runday & Thanksgiving Recap!!

So once again my internet has been on the frits..
I can't complain too too much though because my landlord pays for it, not me.
So here is my most that I meant to post earlier.

As most of you know, The Victoria Secret Fashion Show is tonight.
After tonight I will be LIVING at the gym.
Freals.
I envy them and hate them all at the same time.
#girlproblems.
So here are my runs for the week:

Monday:
Miles: 2:01
Time: 19.01
Pace: 9:22/mile
Treadmill run. I wanted to speed up my pace. Due to my running partner, I have kind of slowed down a bit. I can't run as far on a treadmill but I can def speed up my runs!! I am pretty sure this run I was 1 of 4 people at the gym so that was also nice!!

Miles: 5.00
Time: 54:00
Pace: 10:48/mile
Second run of the night. A freezing cold night run. Always a little slower at night because I can't see where I am going. Not a horrible pace though, we went up quite a few hills. Felt pretty good the entire way especially for the second run!!

Thursday:
Miles: 8.35
Time: 1:31:00
Pace: 10:54/mile
Ahhh Turkey Trot. I ran with my running partner from her house to families house for a delicious Thanksgiving breakfast!! The last half was pretty up hill but overall the pace was pretty good. Stopped only once for a bathroom break. I felt amazing though. No cramps, no sore legs, nothing!! Absolutely justified the amount of food that I ate later that night!!

Total Miles: 15.35

Thanksgiving:

Oooohhh!!
Call me a domestic to be!!
Family came over to our new apartment for my first time ever cooking for Thanksgiving.
Let me tell you, for those who have never cooked Thanksgiving before, it is HARD work.
For those of you who have. I can empathize and give you sooo much credit!!
It ended up being absolutely perfect!!
I love love love being with my family.
Not to mention in my family we decorate for Christmas on Black Friday so we went out to cut down our tree!!
Now standing beautifully in my living room is a gorgeous tree!!
Little festive Pilgrim Hats thanks to Pinterest
Oreos
Peanut Butter Cups
Gel Frosting.
Yep, that's simple!!

Monday Rundays

After more than a week of being sick, I finally got my stride back!!
I ended up having a horrible sinus infection, so I started off a little rough,
but I feel like I will be back to my normal self by the end of next week.
Tuesday
Miles: 6
Time: 1:07
Pace: 11:09/mile
First run after being super sick. It was a nigh run which are never my favorite, but due to it getting dark at 4:45pm there is not much time to do anything else. I always have to go kind of slower due to the fact that I can't really see where the sidewalks are uneven or rocks. I tend to stumble like 20x. A good start nonetheless. A nice long distance!

Wednesday:
Miles: 5
Time: 55:00
Pace: 11:05/mile
Another night run. Hardly a faster pace than the last run, but a little better. Felt pretty good during this run and had I been running in the day time, I bet I would have been around a 10 minute mile pace. If only New York State could even out their sidewalks!

Saturday:
Miles: 7:56
Time: 1:20
Pace: 10:34
Ohmygoodness. The first half of this run was STRAIGHT up hill. My legs hardly felt like they were moving. They were heavy and hurt. I thought I was running at a snails pace. In fact I am pretty sure I saw a snail beat me. But the second half was nice and flat. My pace picked up quite nicely, enough to bring in a nice average pace at the end. The furthest I have been since my half marathon!! I am sore now, let me tell you!! Even my abs hurt, which NEVER hurt after running! I am gonna have to find me so more hills!

Week Total: 18.56
Honeymoon body here I come!!
Ps. Today marks only 5 more months until our wedding!!!

Monday Run Days

The other day I came across this great trend ob tumblr called Reasons to be Fit
I thought it was an awesome Idea. People are able to submit their ideas to the creator
and they post them on pictures of getting into shape or being fit!
Well I thought it would be a great thing to post ever now and then when i post about how I am doing on my runs!!
I am training for my second Half Marathon!
Still miles behind Christy at 25before25, but nonetheless still kicking butt now!
My pace is not exactly where I would like it to be due to my running partner being post pregnancy but for just having a baby she is doing amazing!!
Btw: I track all of my runs on daily mile!! Any of my bloggers who run should make one its awesome and gives you fun stats as listed below.

Runs last week:
Monday
3.02 miles in 30 minutes. Pace: 9:46/mile.
A short run due to only having limited time but a nice quick pace!!
I felt really good in the run and it could probably been one of those runs where I could just go for miles, but I had a Halloween bash to get too!

Tuesday
6.01 miles in 1 hour 7 minutes. Pace: 11:08/mile.
Not our best 6 mile run, but still 6 miles is pretty good! This run was when it was really starting to get dark so we had a little trouble seeing where we were going towards the end which kind of slows us down.

Wednesday
7.01miles in 1 hour 13 minutes. Pace: 10:27/mile,
A early morning run, with quite a nice pace!!! I was starting to feel sick this morning which is not helpful to long runs but we powered through it!!!

Red, Orange, Yellow, Green and Brown!

Thank you for all the sweet comments on the wedding ring choice!!
I am unbelievably happy!!
The only bad part is now I just want to wear it all the time!
Its taking a wholee lot of self control.
Speaking of self control.
Yesterday, I ran my first 5 miles in a very long time!!
It felt absolutley amazing.
I am so happy I am getting back in to running.
The only bad part is that it is suppose to rain for the next few days and I hate running on treadmills.
I can not run nearly as long or as hard!
Oh well, better get use to it!!
I however, am not doing as good on my diet..
I have a bag of halloween candy sitting at my desk at work which is not very smart.
But its a good break for some of the people I see to be able to snack on some candy every now and then.
I should probably get rid of it...
Hahah
I should also get a scale..
There is one on my registry.
COME ON WEDDING!! GET HERE!!!
The other day cutes & I drove two hours to meet some friends.
Granted I feel asleep in the car and he drove, but we drove to these gorgeous mountains to go hiking.
I am not a huge hiker.
I don't like bugs.
Or tripping.
Which I do a lot.
But I love the feel of working hard & I love the views.

Beyond perfect day!!!
Other than that I am looking for a new nailpolish.
A beautiful fall color.
But I am not sure if I want a beige, dark red, dark orange or some other kind of fall color.
Ugh.
Anyone got any new suggestions?!
xoxo.

Indian Summer... That's probably not PC...

Hello amazingly warm fall day.
For those of you who do not know what an Indian Summer is I wiki'd it.
"An Indian summer is a meteorological phenomenon that occurs in the autumn. It refers to a period of considerably above normal temperatures, accompanied by dry and hazy conditions, usually after there has been a killing frost"
I don't know about  everywhere else other than New York, but last week was like 54 and the other night dropped to 22. So to me, this is an Indian Summer.
I am in no way complaining. I love fall, but I def love a nice hot day thrown in the mix!!
So today Beau & I went WEDDING RING shopping.
I was stuck between two amazing ones.
I am tempted to post them on here but at the same time I am wondering if I should leave it a surprise?!
What do you guys think!?
Ahhh welll nope I can't do it.
So here are the two I was choosing between:

I tried the second picture on first.
Then the first picture
and then went back and tried the second one on again.
The second picture was perfect.
It was classy.
Just the way I like it!
I really did love the one in the first picture.
But it's diamonds didn't appear as secure in the setting.
And I would have had to have my engagment ring altered to fit well, and there still would have been a small gap where the one in the second picture fits almost perfectly!
Plus when I tried the one on in the second picture for the second time.
My heart skipped a beat!!
Also this way i can eventually get a wrap for like our 5 year anniversary or something!!
What do you think!?
I am so happy!
I updated all my runs on daily mile today.
I hadn't been updating because of my fails with technology!!
I have been keeping up with running and am feeling great.
Pretty sure this time next year I will be ready for my second half marathon!!!
!!!!!

Bad Blogger Award!!

I am back!!!!
I realize that I deserve the bad blogger award of 2011, but massive changes have been happening in my life.
I am into week 2 of my new job!
My new job that I love. My new job that I really feel like I can help support and provide people with the skills that they need to live functional less chaotic lives! I am not going to lie. I am still quite nervous at what I do. Its hard to believe that I have such a big impact on people's lives and that type or responsibility it somewhat intimidating, but I am absolutley prepared for this. Grad school for 2.5 years taught me well and I am confident I will succeed. But I guess being nervous is normal right? If I wasn't nervous that may mean I was cocky, and being cocky is never good when your trying to help others.

Fiance and I spent all weekend moving in to our new apartment.
Please let me express to you how much I hate moving. But now that we are in and mostly settled I am loving it. When we woke up Sunday morning there was a huge lightening storm that blew our router for our internet, so we just finally got internet back today. Hence why I am now posting!!
I am in love with our apartment and all of our new furniture.
Especially our couch!!
Yep I know worlds commmmmfiest couch ever!!!
Now its not even 9pm and I am about to get ready for bed!!
Hahah ridiculous.
Soooo my posts should be back on schedule soon.
I went for a nice run today where my ipod stopped working which was frustrating so I have to attempt to figure that out tomorrow!!!
Otherwise, I'm glad to be back!!
xoxo.

From 13.1 to 13......I mean none.

So this semi could go on a wedding wednesday post, but semi not.
For those of you who do not know I ran a half marathon a little less than a year ago now.
A year ago, I was in kick butt training mode. 7 miles was about my average run
and 5 miles was considered a  short running day.
 I was ridiculous.
However, after my half marathon (&cutting off 10inches of my hair)
school started back up and I became unable to find time/motivation to run.
Well here I am almost a year later and hardly can run a mile let alone 13.1.
Now I am not training for another half marathon,
however, with my wedding and honeymoon 8 months away I am trying to get my winter pudge off
and get my dream of Jessica Alba abs.
Now I don't have a gym membershio at the moment because with 11 days left of school
I haven't found the time to be able to go and didn't want to waste the money.
But I have still be trying to make it running
and I have 5lb weights at home to tone with.
For those of you who want to know. I am not really trying to lose weight.
I am 5'2" and happy with my weight, but would love to be more toned for my wedding/honeymoon.
So I am writing this to hopefully find my motivation to become the work out junkie that I was one year ago.
So please excuse my occasional posts that will be about running and working out.
Also if you have some extra work out motivation please pass it along, as I will be sure to return the favor!
With all this being said.
Fiance and I went on my longest run in about 6 months yesterday.
Only 3 miles.
Kind of pathetic in my workouts but a good start none the less.
The first mile was great, most likely because it was down hill.
But I felt good, no cramps, no burning lungs, just a sweet burn.
Miles 2-3 not so hot.
My run had 2 large hills, all which were near the end. The first hill hurt but I handled it.
The 2nd hill. I pretty much wanted to stop.
But I didn't.
Finished the run in just over 29 minutes making my miles at 9.51 a mile.
At t his moment I would like to get them down to 9:45 and eventually right at 9.
Now I need some sort of ab work out that will help me tone up my abs.
My stomach has always been my trouble spot.
I am not even going to tell you how many times I have been asked if I was pregnant.
Which makes me obviouslyupset and want to fight everyone.
So my stomach is never something I have been able to find good workouts for.
So my lovely fitness bloggers.
If any of you have any tips on what are good workout routines with out a gym.
Or how to find the re-motivation to get back out on the pavement to start running long distance again
please please share.
Only 8 more months to get back in shape.
#skinnies
xoxo.

Life is Very Unpredictable

Updates:
Life has been quite unpredictable lately.
After graduating, working constant 75- 100 hour work weeks each week, and then moving
I pretty much win the worst blogger award.

However, things are finally starting to settle and fiance and I are getting in a routine!!
Which means I can finally find time to blog.

Wedding:
I'll have a good post for this wedding wednesday we are down to 10 months 1 week and 3 days
and I have quite a bit to cross off my list of things to do!
I will discuss this more in detail, but I may have completely planned out honeymoon ♥

Running:
Ugh, I hadn't run in like a month due to my ridiculous schedule, but finally I was able to get in a 2 mile run today.
I am going to have to plan when I can run on the days I only work one job and stick to it.
Today was a little 2 mile run to get back into things.
I could really tell I was out of shape as the I being cramping up after the first 200 yards.
My new shoes however, were amazing and I felt really good after a while and was able to pull out a decent time for 2 miles.

Books:
Finished two more books off of my book list and can not wait to start my next one. One thing I love about the summer with no textbooks is that I can actually read books for fun. Such a relaxing thing to do before bed!!
I will book review these next Friday.

Movies:
Fiance and I went to see XMen First Class last night and I loved it!!! I am slightly nerdy in the idea that I love these type of movies. Xmen, Harry Potter, Resident Evil, Lord of the Rings, I love them all. I especially loved this movie. It put all the other xmens in to context, and helped to understand them better!!

Lastly before I head off to work.
Once my hair grows a few more inches this is how I want to cut it:
Yay or nay?
xoxo.

New Goodies.

So in the midst of writing my paper,
which I am half way done mind you!
I took a run to de-stress, clear my mind and probably keep what sanity I have left!!
Well half way through my run, I started to get a little blister, sadly as I continued it became worse and worse.
This was the third run in a row I had started to get blisters, so I thought to myself..
It's probably time to get a new pair of running shoes!
So I headed to the mall and picked up these badboys!

I can't wait to take them out for a spin!!!
Have any of you had any experiences with these shoes!?
They are super light and are suppose to be great for training for marathons and half marathons!!
I'll let everyone know how they are once I break them in!
So I was feeling a bit guilty about spending the 80 dollars that I had to on these, but feet are important, and running is my one favorite hobby, so although it was justified, I still felt bad.
Well luckily my roommate came up to me and told me that he had over 700 dollars left on his meal plan and that he wouldn't be able to spend it by Saturday {the last day we have to spend our meal plans}
So we headed to the campus cafe {mini-mart/ eatery} to spend the money.
Mind you its ridiculously overpriced, but if we didn't spend it the school got it for free.
Therefore we splurged.

Made sure I took one from a different angle so you can see just how much we got.
I am basically set on toothbrushes, toothpaste, tampons and sodium filled non perishables for quite sometimes.
Therefore, this even further justified me spending money on new shoes!!!!
This picture oddly reminds me of Becky at From Mrs. To Mama, except no coupons were involved, but hey it was free to me!
Needless to say today was quite the productive day.
Not to mention I also got a free pair of undies from Victoria's today!!
Well off to get in atleast another page before I go to bed!!
Don't forget to enter my giveaway!!!
xoxo.
