Wedding Wednesday # 9

We are not currently down to about 1 year and 3 weeks.
Which still may seem like a lot to some of you.
But to those who know how much goes into planning a wedding
and how fast time flies, you know otherwise!!
I can't believe its almost a year!!!
A couple week ago I attended a beautiful Bridal Show a few towns away.
I love bridal shows because you meet fun vendors and get tons of free ideas and things
I just happened to win this:
Inside is a whole ton of goodies
My focus for this Wedding Wednesday is working out.
I need to get in some serious bridal shape!!
My wedding dress will be here by the end of April and I want to be ready to get in that!!!
Therefore I have a little Widget on the side of my blog titled wedding workouts!
Granted my hectic schedule right now is leaving me with very little time to run.
But at least once a week I am trying to get out there and run at least 2 miles.
I want my wedding dress to hug in all the right spots
and look fabulous in a bikini on our honeymoon.
So. I intend on stepping up my game x a million and get back to the shape I
was in when I ran my half marathon.
So for those of you who have 800 million things going on a day.
Tell me how you manage to work out still.
Because I absolutley need some help on this!!
xoxo.

Good Mood

I am in a amazingly good mood today.
I am not sure what its from, the compliment at my internship,
not having to work, my apartment being clean or the sun shining but I am feeling so good.
I even got a head start on a paper that is due 2 weeks from now!!
See what a little Vitamin D can do in your life!!
 ♥
I still have quite a few things on my to do list
& the next two weeks get amazingly intense
including:
A Literature Review
A Case Conceptualization
Online hw posts
Data Collection
Data Input
A huge National Exam
At the moment however, I am completely confident that I will be able to get everything done on time
& still continue to plan my wedding!!

Happy Tuesday!
xoxo.

My Pet Peeves

This past week was not a good week for me.
It wasn't awful, just not good.
So things easily got on my nerve.
With that being said, I complied a list of my pet peeves.

1. I have worked in retail part time for about 10 years & one of the things
have always hated is when people put their money including their coins on the
counter instead of in my hand. Uhm.. hello!? I am not just holding my hand out for fun.
I think it is so rude that they can not just go an extra step to place it in my hand.
I have short nails and it takes me forever to pick up your pennies because of your lack of manners.

2. When people are talking on/ answer your cellphone while you are ringing them out.
Oh please please please please do not do this.
It is one of the most rude things you can do. Sorry I am not important enough for you
to pay attention to me for the 3 minutes I ring you out, but where is the common curiosity.

3. When you wake up in the middle of the night and you still have 2 hours to sleep & then
you fall back asleep and it feels like maybe two minutes later your alarm goes off!!
Gahhh!!

4. Alarm clocks in general.

5. When I am in an elevator trying to get off and the people waiting to get on crowd so tightly
around the entrance that i have this tiny minuscule walk way to be able to get by.
Back off people and let me out.

5. People who genuinely dislike their job and show it.
Come on, at least you have a job.

6. People who do absolutley nothing at work.

....

Phewwww. That felt good.
Had a little bit to get off my chest.
I ended up working an 80 hour week.
Yep internship & work both each 40 hours.
So i am exahusted and needed time to vent!

Tell me..
What are your pet peeves?
xoxo.

Super Moon

"What do you want? You want the moon? Just say the word and I'll throw a lasso around it and pull it down. Hey. That's a pretty good idea. I'll give you the moon"
"It's a Wonderful Life"

So I am not sure if everyone looked outside last night.
Or was even able to see the moon from where they were.
A few friends of mine stated that it was too cloudy or too
bright to be able to see the sky clearly. But from where I was
the sky was clear, my surroundings were dark and the moon lit
up the sky like nothing I have ever seen. Last night was a Super Moon
...
Accoording to Wikipedia a Super Moon is
"...a new or full moon which occurs with the Moon at or near (within 90% of) its closest approach to Earth in a given orbit. In short, Earth, Moon and Sun are all in a line, with Moon in its nearest approach to Earth"

 How clear is that.
Absolutely amazing.
It also has been researched that within days of super moons the chances of natural disasters like tsunamis and earth quakes.

Here is one from the eclipse that happened a little while back.
 Beautiful.
With that being said.
I hope everyone had an amazing weekend & enjoys the start of their Spring.
Good Night Moon.
xoxo.

Spring Cleaning

It's that time again!
When the weather finally starts to turn warm
and the grass begins peaking out from under the snow
and the trees begin to bud while birds chirp away in the sun.
Spring time!
One of my most favorite times of the year!
Although I tend to like the spring time more once the mud has dried and the snow is gone
there is just something about everything coming back to life that leaves me feeling so
refreshed and energized!!
With this in mind, I usually like to start spring off with a good old fashion Spring Cleaning!
A ton of things tend to pile up from fall and winter and spring time is the perfect time to get rid of all of that mess.
Time to clean between all the cracks.
Get rid of all the clothes I haven't worn in months, and throw out all the garbage that has accumulated that is just taking up space.

I typically will give my clothes to the good will or the salvation army, but I tend to find that they charge for their clothing so I try to give my clothes to places where they give clothes free to the needy like churches or other free organizations. Some people can't even afford to pay that 3 dollars or 25 cents.

This is the time where I also like to work on myself. After neglecting myself all winter. I begin running more, stretching and going to the gym. The winter warmth has built up too much on my and its time to burn off some of that fat!
I also give myself a nice manicure and pedicure!
I would usually get a nice hair cut around this time too but I am trying to grow my hair back out for the wedding, so I probably won't get a trim for a couple more months.
With the official day of Spring beginning tomorrow, this is how I celebrate its arrival?
What do you do?
xoxo.

How To: Do Your Part To Save the Earth

Due to the tragic events of today in Japan and other afflicted coasts:
It motivates me even more to help advocate for the world because I don't think enough people do.
Although the idea of 2012 terrifies me, I do not believe that this will be the end of the world.
I don't exactly think anyone will know when the world is going to end or how.
However, I do believe however, day by day we are slow destroying our earth.
Earth, our home, our beloved planet. The only place that we have to live our lives out and exist.
With all of the knowledge that we as humans have, one would think that we would take a more active stance in fixing our home so that we can live safely, and provide a more conducive home for our future children and animals.
With this being said, I thought I would share my ideas on how we can all do our part to help save the Earth.
Also before we get to far into this: I want to take a minute to extend my thought and prayers to everyone who was affected by the earthquake/tsunami in Japan and surrounding areas.

1) Reducing the Amount of Electricity Used:
I mentioned this in a previous post on being frugal, and it is probably one of the most common sense ideas that there are. It is very simple to reduce the amount of electricity you use just by turning off lights when your not in the room, turning down the heat or air conditioner when your not home or when your sleeping, and probably one that a lot of people don't consider but unplugging items when your not using them. Ya know those little red, blue or white dots on things when your not using them? That takes energy, and more energy then most people think. Also that little amount of energy adds up just like pennies and nickles add up. So please, turn off lights, laptops, tvs, turn down your heat/ air conditioner and unplug those items that your not using like cellphones, laptops, stereos etc.

2) Reduce the Amount of Driving You Do:
Another no brainer I'm sure but still not enough people do it. As societies who are in a sense, spoiled and lazy, we drive for a large majority of our lives. Not only do we drive 500, 200, or 50 miles we also drive 2 miles, 1 mile or even 1/2 a mile. Ya know that gas station down the street that you drive to, to get milk. Yep that all wasting gas. Or ya know that cafe thats right by your work that you drive to to get lunch. Wasting gas. If we could all just walk a little more, run a little more, ride bikes a little more, or even roller blade a little more we can save so much gas, so much pollution and so much obesity. Yeah it takes a little while longer to walk, but its healthier not only for you, but also our planet if you just take that extra step and walk down the street. What makes me laugh the most are those who drive a mere couple miles to the gym.. Really? Just run there or bike there!!!!

3) By a Reusable Water Bottle and a Brita:
Personally, I think one of the worst things that we are doing to our Planet is ruining it with our filth. The fact that a significant majority of the world is obese, over weight, or food/product wasters we add so much garbage to our beautiful world. A huge majority of this trash comes from water bottles. I see this especially in college, but as a society we waste so many water bottles and even worse we only recycle some of what we use. Here are some facts:
Of the 50 billion plastic water bottles used by Americans in 2006, 38 billion of them were thrown away, unrecycled. The 1.5 million barrels of oil it takes to produce 50 billion bottles could fuel 100,000 cars for a year. And that does not even include the oil used for transportation.

Last year, the average American used 167 water bottles, but only recycled 38.
More than 60 million plastic water bottles are thrown away every day in the United States. This is a growing problem—it takes up to 1,000 years for disposable water bottles to decompose.
So please spend 40 dollars buy a Brita and a plastic or metal reusable water bottle and help do your part.

4) REDUCE, REUSE, & RECYCLE:
It really is that simple. Reduce the amount of waste you use, the amount of energy you use, the amount of gas you use.  Reuse what you have: that pair of jeans you wore for 5 hours, really don't need to be washed every single time. We wash things so easily and waste so much water its horrible. Reuse plastic bags that you get from the grocery store. Plastic shopping bags can either be used as garbage bags or reused for more groceries. Did you know that if you bring your own bags to price chopper you get .03 cents taking off your bill for every bag you would use.  Who doesn't love saving money!! Lastly recycle, if you do use water bottles, atleast bring them to be recycled. Many things now a days are able to be made out of plastic bottles, things such as pens, notebooks, and table cloths.

5) Take a Stance:
Do your part and help educate others on how important it is to save our Earth. We are ruining the most precious thing we have in our lives. Without our Planet we wouldn't be alive and to me that makes it beyond important and irreplaceable. Write to your local congressmen and women, your mayors, your governors, your senators and your president, your king or queen or you prime ministers. Reach out.  Spread the word. Tweet, post a facebook status, BLOG! Am I as one person going to help change the world? You bet I am!!! I am going to do everything I can to help make our home inhabitable for my future children and their future children, and all the little animals that have just as much of a right to be here as me. Am I a huge impact? No, not really but I am one more person who cares, and hopefully this reaches out to all of my lovely 71 followers & hopefully you all blog about this or link back as well.

I am pledging to do my part to clean up Earth. Will you!?
 xoxo.

Snow Day!!

So after getting another 2 feet of snow the other day,
My fiance and I decided to take advantage of our snow day and play outside all day
[hey sometimes its good to act like a little kid!]
We ran around jumping in snow piles, making snowmen, throwing snowballs and just having a blast not worrying about anything else besides having fun.
I ended up sleeping like a baby this night and having such a good day so I strongly recommend that everyone just plays around one day all day!!
Buried him!!

Built him into a snowman- yep he is inside of there!!!
It really was such a good time!!
After this we enjoyed a yummy warm dinner, relaxed and did some wedding planning!!
Tonight, I have no work so I am doing tons of homework and catching up on Glee!!!
Hope everyone had an amazing day & I'll have some updates on tomorrows Wedding Wednesday!!
xoxo.

If You Liked It, Then You Should Have Put a Ring On It

Brittany at Mrs. Yellow Ribbion started a link up called Show Me Your.. Ring
So here goes...
Did you look at rings together?
Yes, my fiance and I talked a lot about getting engaged because there is a bit of an age difference between he and I. I also am very picky and have been dreaming about my engagement ring since I was a little girl. Not to mention my finger is tiny, so tiny that stored hardly carry them in my size and considering that I did not want to wait to get it sized, we went to look together. We went to three stores before I found my perfect ring but when we saw it we knew.

Do you like your ring? Did you from the beginning?...and be honest!
I absolutley love it it is perfect. However, I am not loving the idea of having to have a solid wedding band, and I can't find many other types that look good with my solitaire diamond.
How often do you wear your rings?
Everyday, I only take it of to sleep and shower.

Do you clean your rings?
Not nearly enough. I need to start cleaning it more.

What went through your mind the very first time you saw your ring?
"Oh my effing god"
 xoxo.

Ohmygoodness!! It's Been One Whole Week!!!

It has been one whole week since I last posted and this is far too disturbing to me!!
I have had a hectic week of full 7am to 11pm days, and by 11pm I just want to pass out instead of turn on my computer.
Today, the fiance and i decided to do something fun and exciting.
So instead of sleeping in, we hopped into our car and headed to the mountain to go snowboarding.
He is amazing at snowboarding, skiing, and anything that pretty much has to do with anything outdoorsy.
Me, eh, I'm okay. I still fall a few times and I am still quite timid (due to a friend running over my hand with her snowboard when I was 17 causing me to get 7 stitches in my thumb)
Anyways, we always have a lot of phone, although when we leave I'm exhausted and quite sore.

Someone dropped their ski!
For the rest of the day we will be spending time looking at wedding invitations, save the dates and other fun things.
I hope everyone is having an amazing weekend
xoxo.
