Anniversary Dinner

So boyfriend and I went out for a lovely anniversary dinner the other night.

It was simply amazing and I had so much fun.

I didn't know at the time but bf called ahead and told the waitstaff it was our anniversary and we got complimentary champagne and dessert!!

Little did I also know that bf called a friend and had them leave flowers at the restrurant and they were waiting for me at our table when we got there♥

So perfect.

I love brightly colored flowers!! My fave♥

 It was exceptionally warm this day, so I was perfectly fine wearing out this little dress with just a light sweater!!

Such an amazing evening!!

I was approved for internship next semester so now I just have to find where I want to go and interview!!

Hopefully that all works out.

I also realized yesterday that I only need 18 more credits after this semester and I will be done with school finally!!

Can not wait ♥

A Sad Moment.

I did have a great little mini getaway with bf.

but I wanna take this time to say a little sad something.

A friend from my high school passed away just the other day..

Someone I have known for 12 years.

I just want to take this time to say rest in peace.

Only the best die young.

& to remind everyone to be safe & do not text while driving, call while driving, or do anything else that could take your attention away from driving.

A Night on the Town!

As we are almost mid way through the semester, I find myself becoming quite restless.

I am very ready to be done with school and out in the "real world".

School has become quite repetitive and more of a chore, as opposed to something I look forward to like I use to.

However, I am still very grateful to even have the opportunist to be in school & therefore am putting all my effort towards doing well!

With that being said, I have been needing some nights out on the town!

Some friends came to visit & we had a very fun very much needed time out.

Bye Bye Luscious Locks!!!

So maybe some of you know, maybe some of you don't.

But in 2007 I donated 12 inches of my hair to Locks of Love.

Although I am not fond of myself with short hair, it is for a good cause & my hair grows back so why not!?

Well here we are more than 3 years later in 2010 

& my hair is finally long enough to donate again!!

This time I chose to donate to Pantene Pro-V Beautiful Lengths.

 This organization takes hair donations to make wigs for adults who have cancer!!

 "In order to make the most beautiful, realistic and durable wigs, donated hair must meet the requirements below.
Donated hair must be a minimum of 8 inches long (measure hair from just above the elastic band of the ponytail to the ends).
Wavy/curly hair texture is fine—you may straighten hair to measure.
Hair should be freshly washed and completely dry, without any styling products.
Hair may be colored with vegetable dyes, rinses and semi-permanent dyes. It cannot be bleached, permanently colored or chemically treated.
Hair may not be more than 5 percent gray.
Here's why:
It takes at least six ponytails to make a Pantene Beautiful Lengths wig; in general, each ponytail comes from a different person and is a different color. Even though some hair colors may look similar, including gray hair, each is completely unique.
For a realistic-looking wig that has consistent color throughout, donated ponytails must be processed and then dyed to the same shade. It is critical for each ponytail to absorb dyes at the same rate in order to create wigs of consistent, natural-looking color.
Gray hair, as well as some chemically-treated or permanently-colored hair, does not absorb dye at the same rate as other types of hair. It is much harder to color and, once colored, fades more quickly.
Most permanently-colored hair, once it is processed and re-colored, is too fragile and breakable under the rigorous processing required during the production of a Pantene Beautiful Lengths wig.
In appreciation of the sacrifice that a hair donation requires, Pantene Beautiful Lengths only accepts hair it knows can be used for its intended purposes."

Eeep, the hair felt so weird to hold!!! It felt fake!!

It was awesome because I just went to a super cuts because I was just getting a simple straight cut, and the salon didn't even charge me because I was doing such a great thing!!

Turning Away From Hate!

I have been meaning to blog about this for quite a bit and am not sure why I haven't because it is such an important topic to me, and I hope I do not offend anyone at all by saying this, but I don't think I will.

I am a huge advocate for peace. I am all about accepting people for who they are and not judging anyone based off of anything other than how they treat others.

To even show how important this is to me, 2 outta my 4 tattoos are related. I have a heart on my wrist and a peace sign on my foot right below my ankle bone. 

 Okie anyways, a couple weekends ago a presenter came to speak at my school and although I had been to listen to this speaker before, I decided to go again and wow.

Once again I was completely moved. 

The speakers name was T.J Leyden and his Presentation is called Turning Away From Hate!

Mr. Leyden is a former Neo-Nazi who throughout the majority of his life took pride in hating everyone who was not white, catholic, straight or in his classification of cool.

He tell his story in a way that is extremely graphic and made my stomach cringe but for helping people understand what it can really be like out there. 

He discusses what its like to hate people who are different from you, what its like to hurt them and how difficult it is to try and change. 

After a very eye opening experience with his then very young sons, Mr. Leyden decided to leave the movement and become an advocate of breaking hate. 

I was moved, by his experience and his strength. 

This man and his family endure a lot of threats and pain from his decision to stop hating everyone, but he continues to help and try and get kids on the right track regardless. 

One thing Mr. Leyden said at this presentation that really caught my attention was the fact that Itunes by Apple will not sell songs that have homophobic lyrics but refuse to screen songs for lyrics that discriminate against race or women. 

He asked all of us to try and help and write to Apple and try not to buy songs from them until they decide to change this and stop promoting hate...

I agree 100%

So bloggy readers, I am reaching out to all of you, write a letter to Apple, send them an e-mail, leave the rest of the money you have in itunes until they respond to you and help try and make a difference in our world!!

Pumkin Picking and Sunsets

So as I mentioned previously bf and I were suppose to go pumpkin picking when we got all of our halloween decorations, but we has not been able to until yesterday!! I have never been to an actual pumpkin patch, so I was quite excited about the hayride and see all the massive amounts of pumpkins. 

We ended up getting a huge pumpkin that I can not even lift for only 8 dollars!!

On the way home I took some gorgeous pictures of the sunset.

So beautiful!!

I have a super busy week filled with an hour long presentation, a 10 paged paper and massive amounts of actual work. 

However, my packages should be coming this week and I can not wait!!

A little lost earring and a fun little tag!

As I mentioned only a few posts ago, I bought a really fun pair of angel wing earrings off LuLu's. 

I am in love with them!!

 Now, I am quite a tidy person. My room never really gets messy except for the shoes that I wear and don't put away right after I wear them. 

Well I was really exhausted after a long day of classes, readings and other odds and ends, and settled into my couch to watch Glee.

While in the middle of Glee, I took out my pretty earrings and put them right on my desk. The next day when i went to put them I away I could only find 1!!!!

I tore my room apart and then cleaned it completely and the earring is no where to be found =[

In my desperate need to have these earrings again, I ordered another pair, I ended up getting free shipping so I thought it was worth it, but I am still quite mad that I lost one after wearing them only once!!!

Frustrating.

Hmm.. I would saw Taco Bell with all of my friends in our senior year of high school. it was awesome all meeting up laughing and eating a ton of taco. I miss them!

3. What is the best holiday destination?
I would love to go to Greece or Paris, Paris is a little cliche, but I would love Paris at Christmas time.

4. What is your favorite thing to do outside of work/school?
Read a book. I don't have much time with school, but I love to read. Or cuddle with bf, running, shopping or napping.

5. What is something you would like to do before you die?
Travel, get married, have lots of babies, become famous, win the lotto, donate a ton of money, I can not even choose.

6. What does your no-fail outfit look like?
Skinny Jeans, flip flops and a cute tank top.

7. What is the one TV show you can't live without?
I have 3. Glee, Grey's and House. I love Jersey Shore too but I can live with out it.

8. If you were a pie, what flavor would you be?
Chocolate Banana Creme Pie!!
