My Environmental Footprint:
So as a college student, I am forced to print numerous papers, powerpoints & handouts. I am given numerous handouts & just throw them in the recycling bin after the semester is over [Some I do keep for later use].
My school thankfully utilizes front and back printing- so the printer will print duplex but still when you are writing 20-25 paged papers, it still makes a mark.
Each semester, every student starts out with 500 free pages to print.
I am now down to 19 with less than one week left to go.
I surprisingly have saved my paper well, as I know some people who have bought like 300 extra pages for like 4 dollars & are lower than I am now.
Here is my Environmental Footprint since August 22, 2008:
Depressing.. But my college is doing a lot of great things to try and save paper and be environmentally friendly.
