If you follow me on twitter {which you totally should}
you would know that fiance & I ordered are sample save the dates this week,
I say sample because we ordered one of the two that we really liked
so we could see them in person before we ordered all 100 of them!!
Keep in mind they are magnets!!
Please take note that I obviously edited them for blogger!
So what do you all think!?
Basically I am in love with both and can not wait to get them in the mail!!
We also got our sample invitations in the mail yesterday!!
I however, am not going to post
those until they are actually don't!!
But they are absolutley gorgeous, and we are so happy with theme!!
Things are coming along so perfectly!!
For various reasons such as, I want them there for me for the day, I don't know their dates, and we are already trying to cut our guest list by 15 people.
However, now my bridemaids are kind of being.. well... frustrating and well telling me they want to bring dates.
Now I am being very laid back about my whole wedding.
I am basically letting them have their choice in the dress, shoes, etc, but, this was one thing I was kind of hoping for.
Now they are even offering to pay for their dates.
Which is rude for me to ask, but I'm already trying to cut down some of our family let alone random dates.
So I don't know.
What do you think!?
One question however,
Originally, I did not want my bridemaids to have dates come to my weddingFor various reasons such as, I want them there for me for the day, I don't know their dates, and we are already trying to cut our guest list by 15 people.

LOVE THEM THEY ARE WAY CUTE! The pictures you chose are perfect.
ReplyDeleteOHHH RORIE! I LOVE IT! you two are so meant for eachother. Beauitful
ReplyDeleteyou know its your wedding and you should do what you want but I can say from experience that this will haunt you if you dont let them bring dates they'll probably be cool about it but secretly wish they had a date because you'll be super busy with the hubs and family and other friends.
ReplyDeleteit's your day so they should be considerate of what you decide. they probably just want to have someone with them for when you are busy are if/when you have dancing going on. i'm sure they'll cater to your every need either way!
ReplyDeletexoxo, jamie
They are both super cute but I think I like the one on the left best
ReplyDeleteRorie - these are amazing!!!while i have planned every inch of my wedding, the dates thing is not something i've thought about! good luck!!
ReplyDeletevery nice ^^

Love them both!! Aw wonderful blog.
ReplyDeleteits YOUR wedding! thats the key! seriously. thats the most important part. my wedding is going to have about 25 guests at the most. so you can imagine my grandma who hates me isnt coming, contrary to whatever my parents think, because its my wedding. no dates. its because its an intimate day between me and my man, and our closest closest friends and family. thats whats important. why should you share the day with people you dont even know?????
ReplyDeletei hope that helps. thats just my opinion.
the style projects
love your blog first and i def agree with it being difficult to have people invite their dates esp bridesmaids to the wedding. we are in the same boat trying to keep our budget down and it is YOUR wedding like Sharde said. are the groomsman bringing their dates? what does your fiance think? It'll be okay girl- and if they're good enough friends, they should understand that you can't have everyone there- weddings are expensive as it is! xo
ReplyDeleteI love them both but I like the one on the left a little bit better, too.
ReplyDeleteThat's difficult: I would say they could bring a date if they're actually "dating" their date..as in declared boyfriend and girlfriend. Otherwise, no.
Cute Save the dates!
ReplyDeleteI was just a bridesmaid in my bff's wedding a couple weeks ago, and I did not take a date by choice of my own. I wanted to be able to help the bride as much as possible and we had to take lots of pics after the wedding, so I wouldn't have had time to spend with a date except on the dance floor. Just point out to the bridesmaids that their dates would basically be by themselves throughout the wedding &majority of the reception anyways... it should help! :)
That's a tough one...
ReplyDeleteWe allowed our attendants to bring dates and honestly it didn't take away from their devotion to us. We felt that it was important to have our attendants there & enjoying themselves during the reception. However, if you're cutting people that you really care about to allow for them to bring dates I would probably reconsider.
Good luck! Keep us posted on what you decide!
