Ugh!!!! This has probably been the worst two days of my life.
So I wrote last time that my puppy was suppose to be coming up for a visit because my mother was going away for a couple of days!!
So my mother told me that he hadn't been acting himself he had a rash and had been throwing up but my mom brought him to the vet on Monday to get his rabies vaccination & the vet said it was just an allergy.
Well was he wrong!!
So I get him on Friday & I could tell he wasn't being his chipper self, but he was eating and drinking water so I thought well maybe he is getting better.
Well I woke up on Saturday morning & he couldn't even talk on his back left leg. The poor little guy just limped around, didn't wanna move and just laid in bed.
He won't eat. He'll drink every now and then but not large quantities.
So I brought him to the emergency vet clinic & found out he has:
LYME DISEASE.
My little 5.7 lb yorkie a very bad and strong case of Lyme Disease & we had been letting it go because the vet on Monday said he was just having an allergy and the meds they gave him masked the rest of his symptoms!!

So I get home with him from the hospital- give him his first dose of his 1 month prescription of antibiotics & pain killers & he throws them up=[
So I call the vet back and they say to wait a bit try to get him to eat, and give him just his antibiotics again in a couple hours.
So I do & he kept them down.
I woke up probably every hour last night to make sure he was still breathing.
So I wake up today to find his bed soaked in pee ugh!
I can't blame him though he can't walk at all anymore his poor joints are so hurt and legs are so weak he just falls over and shakes.
However, I just gave him so pain killers [which he does NOT like the taste of] and he actually sat up not get up but sat up to bark when he heard the dryer go off!!
So he is feeling better!!
Hopefully he will start eating and walking again soon.
I can't not take having to put food in this poor puppies mouth & keep it shut just so he eats!! =[

Oh no, my heart goes out to this little pup! I can't imagine what I would do if my little guy was going through the same thing! Hopefully he starts feeling better, soon!
