Ohh, I have read a TON of books since I last posted due to the waiting for planes, sitting on the beach and trying to relax!
Today i am going to post about:
"Something Borrowed tells the story of Rachel, a young
attorney living and working in Manhattan. Rachel has always been the
consummate good girl---until her thirtieth birthday, when her best
friend, Darcy, throws her a party. That night, after too many drinks,
Rachel ends up in bed with Darcy's fiancé.
Although she wakes up determined to put the one-night fling
behind her, Rachel is horrified to discover that she has genuine
feelings for the one guy she should run from. As the September wedding
date nears, Rachel knows she has to make a choice. In doing so, she
discovers that the lines between right and wrong can be blurry, endings
aren't always neat, and sometimes you have to risk all to win true
happiness."

I had already seen the movie to this book, but decided to read the book, before I read the next book Something Blue.
It was pretty good, just like the movie. However, watching the movie before reading the book really does ruin it for me. I much rather read the book before the movie.
Overall I give it a 7/10.
Pretty entertaining, a good beach read!

This was by far my favorite Emily Giffin book. Something Blue and the ones that followed were ok, but Something Borrowed was my favorite!

I like to read the book before the movie (or TV series) as well.. but doesn't always work out :(
ReplyDeleteI just finished the book I've been reading this afternoon. I have a list of books to get to but am thinking of reading this one night for something "light" between long books =)
ReplyDeleteSomething Borrowed & Something Blue are two of my favorite books, but I pretty much LOVE anything Emily Giffin write's!
ReplyDeleteThis is the only book I've read by Emily Giffin and I loved it! The movie isn't half bad either.
ReplyDeleteThe book is definitely better than the movie! SOBO/SoBlue are two of my favorite books!
ReplyDeleteI watched the movie and was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked it...and then I found out it was based on a book, so I totally want to read it. I've heard some mixed reviews on the book, so it makes me happy to hear a good one :)
