With the little one almost here
{just 10 days away!}
I decided it would be smart to set some goals for myself to hopefully keep on track of at least some things while taking care of a new born.
This is my last week of work & I have 12 weeks of this summer to get things done!!
1. Organize hall closet.
Our hall closest has a bunch of junk in it from paint cans, to snow boarding tools, to xmas decorations to sleeping bags. It makes me bad just thinking about it.
2. Lose at least 15lbs of the baby weight.
I think this is completely do able since i Have a huge baby and have gained hardly any weight.
3. Work out 2x a week.
With wanting to lose most of my baby weight in only 15 days mind you, I want to work out at least 2x a week. Bc I will be recovering from labor and or c section, I am talking simple things including walking, lifting small arm weights etc.
4. Study for my licensure exam, at least 4 days a week.
I have procrastinating this and have to take the exam at the end of June.
I NEED to study.
There is no reason why I can't since I am home all day.
5. Keep the romance up in my marriage.
I do not want to be one of those couples that loses the romance when we have the baby.
This is quite important to me!
6. Lastly, keep up with the house work.
If I go to sleep with a messy house, I wake up cranky.
I am setting the bar pretty high for myself, but I think I can do it!
Crosses Fingers.

You have some great goals, good luck with them! Especially with the test, no fun!
ReplyDeleteGood luck!! Get as much of this done (like organizing the closet) before baby comes because let me tell you, it's a SHOCK those first few weeks of having a newborn. I thought I'd have no problem adjusting to having a baby, but that first month was crazy. Life was kind of a blur, ha ha! Mia was born Dec. 20 and I was finally able to put our Christmas tree away sometime in the first week of January with the help of my mom. ALL I wanted to do was vacuum the little needles that fall off the tree and it still didn't get vacuumed until 4 days later. I remember sitting on the couch feeding my baby, crying as I stared at the needles wondering why they weren't vacuumed yet. Ha ha! It's just crazy how your days are spent taking care of the baby!! It took me way longer than I expected to get into a routine and start cleaning house, etc. But I think that's totally normal. So don't beat yourself up if you don't have it all figured out in the first couple of weeks :)
