Whineee-o!

I am not a drinker by any means.
First of all I have an abnormally high tolerance for alcohol, which is odd because I never drink.
& too, I can not stand beer, because I just don't have the "affinity" for the taste.
However, I love the idea of drinking wine.
Something about sitting down to dinner with a nice glass of red wine seems so classy and inviting to me.
My only issue is that I am super picky. I love super sweet wine and have yet to fine this one kind that I had in Florida last year on vacation.
I have tried several and am ready to give up but before I did, I though I would try this!!
So I am reaching out to my bloggie friends. Does anyone know any really sweet wines that are worth trying!?
xoxo

  5. Reisling Relax is my fave. And any Moscato is very sweet.

  6. if you want to try red, i suggest pinot noir.. it's a very light wine, with no bite at the end like a merlot would have... i, however, prefer white wines... moscato (mentioned above) is sweet.. then either pinot grigio or a riesling is light and fruity. had myself a couple glasses of riesling tonight :) so good!

  7. Oh I wish you were in Australia! We have the perfect sweet, dessert wine sitting in our kitchen at the moment - it's from a winery in Mudgee called "Frog Rock" and the wine is called "Sticky Frog" - it is DELICIOUS. It's a white wine though. I am personally a moscato person, but Sticky Frog? By far the best wine I've ever tasted!!

  8. If you want really sweet I would start with a white wine, and probably don't buy expensive bottles until you are really sure you want to invest. My favorite cheap white wines that taste like yummy juice are Barefoot Moscato and Pinot Grigio. I also LOVE No. 8 Chardonnay. Francis Coppola makes a great Chard as well (and it is on super sale at Safeway right now).

Reds are a little harder if you really want sweet. I LOVE Cabernet and Merlot. Francis Coppola and No. 8 are my go to's for those as well.

Love to hear what you end up getting. It is an acquired taste, so don't give up.

  9. I notice some Moscatos in the list! Moscato is my favorite. Try a very cold Barefoot (brand) Moscato!
